FME’s Automatic Force & Position Control Systems (AFPS™) add great automation to our roll coater heads. With this option the manual roll adjustments are replaced with computer controlled servo motor actuators. This allows for greater accuracy in film build control, along with faster and repeatable coater setups.

The system can be operated in either force control, position control, or FME proprietary closed loop film build control. The controller incorporates historical logging data for easy future setups, and maintenance and diagnostics.

AFPS-2™ is our fully fledged system including complete force & position Control. Our AFPS-1™ system is a more economical system whilst still eliminating manual hand-wheel adjustment.
